11 11 11 "Eleven Candles"
It is a Birthday. A Birthday of a Circle of Friends in Business launched on 11/11/11. 11 Women in Business no less. The thought born of eleven candles, coming together to create more light. Maybe one group of 11 Candles is not enough. Maybe many cities with 11 Candles per Community. Happy Birthday 11 11 11 Media, one year old today. 12 Months ago, launched. One month from now, 12 12 12 Media. The Art of Creating Circles of Friends in Communities. How to do this... it is an Art. oProfessionals, oEntrepreneurs, our friends in business. The Art Of Fluidity... Let it go, let it flow, let it grow! Create the Circles and foster their growth.

A Year away... A Story today... 11/09/13 Today
I overheard somebody telling another (two strangers) about a good auto shop to paint their car. A guy name Jose who bought an Earl Scheib Paint Shop. He changed the name to Earl Shine.
My friend gave me a car last month. On my son's birthday, he gives me a car. He said to paint it though, so now I have a referral to go to. Now I know the way and I'll find Jose.
My friend who gave me the car, I've connected two a few times over a few decades. What did I learn from this 1st friend that assisted in shaping my life?
I'll call this friend ART. He has taught me about Respect, he has taught me about business. He has taught me about systems. He has taught me about how to photograph, how to create the portraits that people want to keep. How to deliver the portraits, display the portraits, frame the portraits, sell the portraits and keep the customer. He taught me about service. At the bought of every invoice, he would have "At Your Service" under where I would sign and the customer would sign.
Ray, At Your Service! It was sort of the beginning of shaping me. The ART of creating images that people loved, and the ART of creating the image of who you are.
I think I need to do both. Improving images on the outside, begins on who you are on the inside.

A Dozen Friends... to Change Your Life
My O, my Circle of Friends. What does one look for in life? A Circle of Friends to assist, to be there for them, to have them be there for you. The exchange of energy. The circle goes on in life. Here we are again! We've come complete Circle. So? Maybe I need to share about my friends, maybe who they are that shaped me in life to become the man I'm not. Ok, the man I am becoming. Ok, the man I am.
Who am I and where I am I going?
I'll get to me later on, quite a bit later on. First, it is about my friends. The Circle, the beginning of the Circle. Maybe the middle, how about 9/11/01.
Remember September, I'm on my way to downtown San Francisco to see Robin Williams. The news comes on the radio, listening to the unthinkable. Missing my meeting due to Government buildings being closed, I went to a friends house. My closest friend, who gave me a Bible for my birthday. September 11th. My father used to be my best friend, he was born December 7th. 7 & 11, two dates that keep showing up in my life. So I stay in the middle, I'll stay with 9.
Nine of my Friends. Don't do business with Friends. Really? Who are your friends when you lose everything? Who are your friends in a divorce? Who are your friends in school? Who are your friends who are in business? I think I only want to do business with friends. My nine man team. My grandpa looked the the nine man team on the baseball field, the Pro Team. The team that was, in his words "working". But they made it fun. Grandpa Baker "If We Make It Fun We Get It Done."
If it is to be, it is up to me. Or is it up to We? Is any man an island? Or does he need a group of friends in his corner? His Circle, love and I had a wit to win so we drew a circle and drew them in (that is what mom's always said).
Wake up, do what you love and love what you do. Respect your friends, they respect you and they communicate the real deal. They don't hold anything back and they tell it like it is. A "Foundation" that is not built on cards. A house of Cards or a house of Steel. I'll stay with the strong house.

The X Ray
The X Ray in life, seems to me to be that sort of crossroads. That intersection of choices? Where X marks the spot? The railroad crossing and the destination, meeting at that X in your life. Is the X where to stop, where to turn? Is life that simple tic tac toe solution that we put the x's and o's in the right order to get things to line up? Do we look for that three in a row? Do we create that X to stop the three in a row? So confusing!
I will go with the O for now. The X Ray I've had enough of, in my past few decades... dealing with the X's. The X's and O's as the balance is much better! :)
11/7 is upon us... a new day, a new President... where we go, we simply grow! Dig in and create the New America... what will tomorrow bring?
11/12/13 - Just 340 days away... we need to make every day count.. I'll ask my friends, to help me out.
